The Post-graduation program in Business Administration (MBA) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa gives the students wide career choices and enable students to pursue entrepreneurial ambitions. The MBA Programme is spread over six tri semesters comprising of core subjects covered in all trimesters and the specialization subjects start from the third trimester onwards. The school offers specializations in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing & HR. The Business Management course is oriented to educate and train the students in the holistic manner to meet the challenges of the business world. The program is strengthened with various other mandatory activities such as OST (Organisational structure training), CIP – Corporate Immersion program, MIP – Monsoon Internship Program, Mentoring sessions and preparation of master thesis with research article publication in referred journal, Certification programs of general and functional domains, Industrial visits, Club activities etc. The MBA course plan focuses on the development of the student’s competence to meet the needs of the changing and challenging global business scenario. The students engage with live and Capstone projects with tie ups of industries in their respective field giving them opportunities for experiential learning. Guest lectures are delivered by industry experts that give them proficient knowledge from varied fieldsthroughout the course.

Candidates falling under any of the below mentioned categories must apply under the International Student Category:

  • Foreign citizens,
  • PIO card holders and
  • OCI (Dual Citizens)

International students coming from Non-English speaking countries should:

  • Produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or
  • Have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores

Candidates without the above pre-qualifications will have to enroll either for

  • Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or
  • One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

Candidates seeking admission through International Student category (Foreign Nationals/PIO/OCI) will have a separate application process, with the following options to apply for any programme at Christ University.

Students who fall under any of the following classifications, at the time of application may apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the course.

  • NRI defined under the Indian Income Tax Law
  • Either of the parents is outside India (except Nepal) on Work Permit / Resident Permit.
  • Indian citizen financed by any Institution /  agency outside India, even if parents are Residents of India.
  • Indian Citizen who has pursued studies for qualifying examination in any foreign / Indian syllabus outside India.
  • Indian citizen pursued studies for qualifying examination in foreign syllabi in India.

Note: If only condition 5 is satisfied, and not conditions 1 to 4 above,NRI student category fee will be applicable only for the first year.

Candidates are required to choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate smooth admission process. Admission must be processed at the campus where the program is offered.

As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode. Payment options and details will be provided to selected candidates through ‘Offer of Admission’ on ‘Application Status’ on the University website. Fees for first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

Admission will not be processed without the presence of the candidate and the mandatory ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and one set of photocopies mentioned below;

  1. Class 10 Marks Statement and Class 12 Marks Statement (Mandatory).
  2. Undergraduate Degree Marks Card semester/year (if result awaited, marks card available currently) (Mandatory).
  3. Provisional Degree Certificate or Degree Certificate (Convocation Certificate), if the candidate has graduated on or before November 2019 / 2020 (Mandatory).
  4. Copy of entrance test score card (Sep MAT 2020 / Dec MAT 2020 / Feb MAT 2021 /  CAT 2020 / CMAT 2021 / GMAT 2020 / 2021 / GRE 2020 / 2021 / XAT 2021 / ATMA 2021 ) (Mandatory).
  5. Transfer Certificate (TC) of undergraduate degree from the last qualified institution (Mandatory).
  6. Migration Certificate of undergraduate degree from qualifying University (applicable for all candidates except those studying in Maharashtra) (Mandatory).
  7. One Stamp size and one passport size photograph formal dress with white background (Mandatory)
  8. Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
  9. Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt).
  10. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  • Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  • PIO / OCI have to produce the copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).      
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
  • Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process. An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing / passing their exam in March – June 2021], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before August 20, 2021. Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible” and admission will be terminated from Christ University without any claim.

All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, Christ University Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card). The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after commencement of classes, including fee payment will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.

The date of commencement of the academic Year 2021 - 2022 will be intimated during the admission process.

  • Fill-in all the details in the “detailed application” page. Scan and upload recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms formal dress with white background) and click “Submit”. On clicking Submit, a viewable and editable page will appear on screen. In case you need to make any corrections; you may edit the data/details and then click “Confirm Submission”.
  • Application registration fee may be paid through Credit / Debit Card / Net banking facility (for online applicants only).
  • Choose the payment option and fill-in the required details to process the “Application processing fee”. The application will be submitted online after payment of application processing fee.
  • After the payment is successful you will receive the application number with the option to print your application form.
  • Print and sign the application form. Keep a copy of the application form for further reference and to produce at the time of selection process.

At the time of the interview candidates are required to carry the following documents:

Candidates who are applying for the Dual Degree MBA (CU) + MBA, (FHWS, Germany) Programme should submit the work-related documents (Joining Letter / Experience Letter with Latest Salary Slip) (Full Time / Family Business also considered) with one or more year of work experience (Mandatory). Students pursuing an International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:

(Applicants who are in the final year of their studies should have 50% or above aggregate in all the Semesters / Years of undergraduate examinations conducted so far). 1. NRI fee is applicable for the first year for candidates who have studied foreign syllabi in the qualifying examination of study in India. Indian citizens who have studied foreign syllabi in India for the qualifying examination (applying for UG / PG / MPhil /Ph.D. Programme has to be approved by UGC / AIU).

(The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).

2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;

2.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.

2.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.

3. To claim Indian / Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India / Karnataka. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO, and Foreign Nationals).

4. Admission registration fee of INR 5,000/- is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of admission. This fee will be apart from cancellation charges if any applicable.                 

5. All Candidates If “Selected” after appearing for the final selection process, The fee may be paid through the following option:

Instructions for applicants

  1. Selection process admit card will be uploaded in the candidate application login (https://appstat.christuniversity.in) THREE days before the selection process date.  candidates must read through the contents published in the admit card and must keep the originals at hand for verification during the Personal Interview round.
  2. A Google calendar invite will be sent to your registered email id, ONE day before the selection process.
  3. The date and time for the selection process are auto-generated by the system. Therefore, any request for changes will not be entertained.
  4. Candidates must show the original Government recognized photo identity card (Aadhar card/Passport/Voter ID/Recent College ID card) for attending the online selection process. Failing which the application will be considered as “Not Selected”.
  5. All original Class 10, Class 12, Degree Marks Card (Students pursuing their final year must have the statement of marks up to the previous semester/year) and scorecards of September MAT 2020 / December MAT 2020 / February MAT 2021 OR GMAT 2020 / 2021 OR CAT 2020 OR CMAT 2021 OR ATMA 2021 OR XAT 2021 OR GRE 2020 / 2021 should be available for verification during the personal interview round.
  6. It is recommended to login atleast 15mts before the scheduled time to avoid any last-minute technical glitches.
  7. Candidates failing to appear for the selection process at the stipulated date and time will be considered as “Not Selected”.
  8. Impersonation or any suspicious behaviour (prompting by a third person or accessing notes/gadgets) will be treated as malpractice and the application will be termed as “Not Selected”.
  9. Candidate must prepare for a Micro Presentation (Extempore) as part of the Selection Process. Candidates will be asked to speak on any of the topics given in our selection process link on “Topics for Presentation 2021" during the Micro presentation round.
  10. The responsibility of satisfying the eligibility criteria for admission rests with the student/candidate. The issue of the E-Admit Card for the selection process does not imply that the eligibility criteria are satisfied.
  11. Important: Minimum Score specified for MAT / CAT / CMAT / XAT / GMAT / GRE / ATMA is only eligibility criteria and the actual score thereof shall have no bearing in the selection process.
  12. Work-related documents (Joining letter / Experience letter & Latest Salary Slip) (Full time / Family Business also considered) (Mandatory) for candidates selected for the dual degree MBA (CU) +MBA, (FHWS, Germany) program.
  13. Selected candidates must process their admission within the stipulated date and time given on the e-admission card, by paying the fee and submitting the above mentioned original documents for verification.
  14. Degree certificate (Convocation Certificate), if the candidate has graduated before June 2021  OR Provisional degree certificate, if the candidate has completed/graduated before November 2021 should be submitted at the time of admission.
  15. Transfer Certificate (TC) of an undergraduate degree from the last qualified institution. Migration Certificate of an undergraduate degree from qualifying University (applicable for all candidates except those studying in Karnataka) should be submitted at the time of admission.
  16. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) should submit a copy of Passport and Visa page at the time of admission.

The purpose of mentoring is to tap into the existing knowledge, skills, and experience of high performing employees and transfer these skills to newer or less experienced employees in order to advance their careers. . Corporate Immersion Program (CIP)

The Corporate Immersion Program (CIP)program at Christ, Lavasa is an innovative interface for industry – institute connect. This is a unique attempt with the aim of improving industry learning and engagement.Each week in fifth trimester, students visit companies to immerse themselves in and study in detail the day-to-day workings of an organization. The program further allows for companies and organisations to assess the potential of students in a live scenario, which is highly conducive to learning. Monsoon Internship Program (MIP)

We have a unique internship programme which helpsto achieve on-the-job experience and helps to createa good network. The internship can be completed before the start of the fifth trimester. Internships which provide anopportunity for benchmarking your abilities with thatof industry expectations, often result in joining offers.The Monsoon Internship Program (MIP) is a great opportunity which helps in establishing mutually beneficial relationships between the industries which are seeking young and dynamic people with a fresh perspective on management and students who get to hone their classroom learnings and insights by blending them with real-life business. The guidance of Academic and Corporate mentor strengthens the very purpose of the internship to enrich their experience.

Industrial visits

The industrial visits have a lot of importance for MBA students as to get an insight into its internal working environment which give them a solid foundation to gain real-world information. The students come to know how theoretical ideas are put into practice. The MBA students are exposed to work methodology, employment practice of a company with these visits. The main objective of such industrial visit is to provide students the feel of the actual business environment and to gain practical knowledge and skills, which in turn motivates, develops and builds their confidence.
